Nokia Lumia 1520 Images Leak

New photos posted to the Twitter account of @evleaks have shown Nokia’s next flagship Lumia device, known as the 1520, in full.

The Lumia 1520 will be a full-on phablet, taking on the likes of the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with its reported six-inch AMOLED display.

It could also feature a 41-megapixel camera to put it in the same league as the Lumia 1020. However, it is more likely to have a 20-megapixel camera, which would allow it to compete with the Sony Xperia Z1.

The photos show that the Lumia 1520 will stick with the colourful approach to handset design that Nokia has been pursuing in recent years, which is particularly sensible given that Apple has now taken a similar tack with the iPhone 5C.

Although this phone will come close to matching full tablets in terms of display size, it should also have a SIM card slot to allow standard calls to be made using providers such as giffgaff, O2 and Three.

Microsoft Surface Update Imminent
Microsoft did not find much commercial success with its first round of Surface tablets, but it is hoping that two fresh iterations will spark more interest and steal market share from the iPad family.

The Surface 2 sticks with the Windows RT operating system, this time harnessing the Tegra 4 chipset to give it more processing power than its predecessor.

Windows 8.1 will come to the Surface Pro 2, which is more of a replacement for a laptop, given that it runs an unhindered version of Microsoft’s operating system which has nevertheless been optimised for touchscreen interactions.

Galaxy Gear Smartwatch from Samsung
Smartwatches are about the hit the big time thanks to this new product from Samsung. As well as being stylishly designed, this clever mobile peripheral can synchronise with compatible Android handsets via NFC and Bluetooth to let users pick up messages and alerts without having to pull out their phones.

There is even a two-megapixel camera built into the Galaxy Gear, so the only thing which might prevent it from becoming a common device is the asking price, which will probably be over £200.

Google Nexus 5
The leak of a reportedly official service document detailing the specs of the Nexus 5 has shed more light on what users can expect following its official announcement.

Manufactured by LG and based on the G2 smartphone, it will benefit from a powerful Snapdragon 800 processor as well as 4G connectivity and the latest version of Android, making it a suitable upgrade from last year’s Nexus 4, which was also built by LG. A low asking price of under £300 should help it to sell well following its release.

The Growth of BT

BTBT is the world’s oldest telecommunications company and is also currently one of the worlds largest. BT has its roots in the first electric telegraph, which BT has the patent for. According to BT PLC, the Electric Telegraph Company was formed in 1846. Since then the telecommunications industry and associated technology has expanded at a phenomenal rate, with BT very much in the mix the whole time.

A Brief History
As more and more people had telephones, telephone exchanges were set up to manage the network. Then in 1912 the General Post Office became the supplier of telecommunications in the UK. At this point everything was state-run. BT as we know it now was formed in 1980 and became independent in 1981. It was famously privatised in 1984. The privatisation was amongst a series of state-owned organisations to be sold to the public and had huge implications within society at the time.
People would generally associate BT with their landline telephones. However, the company is very much involved in the internet, broadband, television and mobile phones, amongst other things, and continues to expand. The growth of BT as a company is very much linked to the growth of the telecommunications industry as a whole, highlighted by the fact they currently have 4400 patents, starting with the electric telegraph in 1837.

The Present
The shared history has created a unique company in BT, and given the telecommunications company some unique responsibilities. To this day BT is responsible for the phone and broadband network throughout the vast majority of the country. They are the only telecommunications company with a Universal Service Obligation, which means they are required to provide public phone boxes throughout the UK as well as a fixed phone line to all addresses.

As well as these obligations, BT also provides services for 18 million paying customers. Quality customer service is therefore very important to the smooth running of the company. You can contact them easily by using the BT customer service telephone number.

However, these responsibilities have not prevented BT from being competitive in the world markets. BT is a multinational with operations in over 170 countries throughout the world. This huge multinational is managed from its headquarters in London, a large 10-storey building called BT Centre, in the heart of the business district.

Managing customers and complaints is a huge task in itself, and as a telecommunications company it is especially important for their reputation that they do this successfully. As the saying goes, you can’t please all the people all of the time, but BT have a strong positive record. BT can be contacted easily on the internet or by using the BT customer service telephone number.

The Future
BT is looking to the future with their work on environmental issues and their recent deal acquiring British football TV rights. Purchasing the rights to show the games on their television channels will undoubtedly boost their television presence, which has dragged behind Sky and Virgin until now.

Planning Can Get You Through Call Centre Queues Quicker

Call Centre QueuesNavigating a sensible way through the seemingly endless amount of telephone numbers people are required to ring these days can sometimes seem utterly insane. Registering almost anything, from a car to a death, requires telephoning offices whose workers either seem to be eternally absent, or hidden behind an endless list of options.

Call Centre Hell
Getting to speak to the people you need to can be a difficult and frustrating process, but even worse are the unsolicited sales calls which bother us at home. Being phoned up at any time of day by someone from the other side of the world, usually giving a false name, trying to sell you something that you will never need, has to be up there with some of the most absurd experiences ever.

Navigating this tortured telephone terrain can be much more straightforward than you think. Whether it is navigating quickly through call centre options, or brushing off long-distance sales reps, using the telephone does not have to be stressful.

Contacting a number such as the Income Support contact number is often the worst kind of call. You are ringing up, generally speaking, because you have some kind of worry, usually financial. Being kept waiting in a queue, usually being charged at a national or premium rate, can be extremely stressful, and contribute to illness.

Focus and Planning
The key is to stay calm, and focus on what you need from the call. Navigating your way through menus is time consuming, but it is important that you press the right numbers, or the whole process might have to begin all over again. If however you are prepared to do a little research there are resources out there which can provide some help.

Some websites now exist which offer good advice on which numbers to dial, and which sequence of buttons to press when it comes to choosing menu options. These websites can speed things up considerably, giving you more time to actually get on with things like earning a living, or enjoying a family life, rather than spending hour after frustrating hour on the telephone. Click here to see what one of these sites can offer, in terms of support.

Time and Money
It is not just time that you save by using the information from these sites, either. National rate and premium rate telephone numbers cost plenty of money, with every second ticking by costing your pocket more cash. Indeed, it was recently estimated that £96 million in total could be saved by adults in the UK, if just one minute was shaved off all the call centre telephone conversations that they are compelled to undergo.

As for those long-distance sales calls to your home, usually at a time which is highly inconvenient, then focus and calm are again what it required. Giving the caller a very short answer, delivered in a very polite tone of voice, will save you a lot of time.

Influence Of Mobile Phones On Our Life

images (9)The cellphone was initially designed to improve the convenience of interaction but with the fast modifying technical innovation, is it still providing this same purpose? From its progress, it started off as an easy system that could call people and deliver and get short messages and now, they could do right about anything once you set up the right software. Question is: do we really need them?

In this time and age, I believe they are more of a requirement than a useful device. In addition to its basic features, it has gone as far as enjoying music from your channels, viewing your preferred TV channels to providing all your computer features. Essentially, your cellphone is everything you need in this technical era without having to fear about bulk.

Why are cell mobile phones necessary?

The globe is switching into a small town and despite the distance between states; mobile phones bring individuals nearer together. The camera will also satisfy the requirements of saving important minutes just for you instead of holding around a heavy camera.
